Inspired by The Shield being on Hulu+. Yeah, yeah, hulu+, but still a fantastic show and I recommend you watch it if you can.
The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Really?/>I Love the show Dexter and you should too
Dexter is a very bi-polar show.
Season 1 is great. Season 2 is awesome despite its flaws. Season 3 is bleh. Season 4 has a lot more flaws than Season 2 but is still really good. Season 5 I've never seen but I have never heard anything good about it. Season 6 is dreadfully horrible and stupid. Season 7 starts pretty great but as of the last two episodes its quality has dovetailed, although it could certainly be fixed...but
Also for suggested watching:
Freaks and Geeks
It's on Netflix. It's not that many episodes. It's a wonderful show that I wish there was more of. Just a couple of highlights:
- It's the starting point for a lot of awesome people. James Franco, Jason Segal, Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, and Paul Feig. It's basically Feig's show, and if you don't know who he is he worked on Arrested Development, early seasons of The Office, early seasons of Weeds, Nurse Jackie, Bridesmaids, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec...and Martin Starr whose biggest thing since Freaks has been Party Down, and Sam Levinne who was in Inglorious Basterds
- It has a lot of awesome guest stars. Including other up and comming people like Jason Schwartzman, Lizzy Caplan, Kevin Corrigan (who I effin' love and wish was in more things), and Rashida Jones.
- Tom Wilson aka Biff Tannen is the P.E. Teacher
- Trace Beaulieu and Joel Hodgson are in the show. Basically the only thing Joel has ever really been in that wasn't on the Satellite of Love
- It's just so damn good.
- There is an episode devoted to Disco and Dungeons and Dragons where James Franco plays as a dwarf. And Jason Segal dances.

Freaks and Geeks
This.
The show is an amazing piece of work. My only issue with it is that it goes downhill about 3/4 through the season. The theory my friends and I came up with is, that was the point the writers discovered they weren't renewed for season 2, so they (a) had to scramble to tie up as many loose ends as possible, therefore forcing things to be rushed, and/or (b) lost the motivation that created the amazing beginning episodes, because what was the point if they weren't going to be renewed no matter how good the show was?
I've been meaning to rewatch it. Especially because it's on Netflix.

I mean maybe it feels worse because nothing really gets solved because it does get canceled. And the overall ending is kind of a bleh ending.
But I really like the last episode, the penultimate episode with Lindsay and Bush is really blah for the most part (although the stuff with Rosso is good), but the last episode is still good despite the Lindsay stuff.
I think a lot of it is because the last part of the show deal a lot with Neal and Lindsay and none of it really ever gets resolved because the show got canceled which can make the last few episodes seem lower quality but I don't think they're any worse than the rest of the show. It's just build up with no pay off which isn't the the fault of the show.
If you want to see a last episode that was rushed to fill in loose ends and sucked watch the last ten minutes of Pushing Daisies.
Also everyone watch Pushing Daisies!

/>Wilfred is a funny show about a guy who sees his neighbor's dog as a human. they go on adventures and smoke weed.
I also thoroughly enjoy Wilfred.
And I would recommend the I.T. Crowd to anyone who hasn't seen it.
Old flash signature has been revived for nostalgic purposes. Too bad RpgWizard hasn't been revived. :\

Aw, thanks for opening up that old wound. I love Freaks and Geeks, too. Those and Firefly are all basically perfect shows that ended too soon.

So very this./>Also everyone watch Pushing Daisies!
Everyone should go watch Spaced. It stars a young Simon Pegg and has all of his best friends in it--who are very funny people. It's also short and has a disappointing ending, but in the meantime is a very worthwhile show.
Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."
