I like cyberpunk and this game is about as cyberpunk as you can get. It's visual style is a very definite nod to Uplink which is a very a good game in its own right.

I've only played a few missions because free time is precious at the moment, but after my exams I intend to get stuck into this fully. I also imagine it's much more fun playing against other humans than it is playing against AI.

Quite often I've wished a game similar to this existed so I'm quite happy with this. But I do wish there was an RPG element with you equipping gear for your troops, and have them gain experience and level and all that nerdy stuff that would potentially break all the games economics.

Here's a video of someone being far too enthusiastic about this computer game:

Pertinent quote from pertinent review:

On occasion, it can seem cruelly, impossibly difficult, but a lucky turn, a sudden brainwave or (most of all) a gut feeling about what the enemy's going to do can dizzyingly tip the odds in your favour. Without the waiting that multiplayer matches can entail, everything happens in a heartbeat. The tension of guessing, predicting and committing is sweaty and extreme - a testament to how high the stakes feel.

I find myself intrigued. I think some of the excess enthusiasm in that video may be affecting me.

Cool Guy Starstorm© gifted me a copy of this for my birthday. I am totally interested in doing some matches with anyone who wants to play. For the record, you will probably win. I don't mind.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I actually haven't even tried my copy yet, so I imagine we'd be evenly matched. :p

I might be up for it. I've installed fancy new graphics drivers on my windows partition that make running games a lot smoother on my laptop. Before when I tried to play it on my laptop it was pretty slow.
