I am ignorant to Community, buuuuuut...

Parks and Recreation is probably one of the most consistently funny shows on TV right now.

Who else watches it? Ron Swanson is the greatest character ever.

(also, if you're going to try and watch it. Don't watch season 1. It is not good.)

For a second I thought you were talking about actual parks and recreational places. But I'll check out the show.

i've watched a few episodes, probably mostly from the first season, but it has not hooked me. so sad a story.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Then...don't watch that season.

Season 1 is horrible in comparison to how season 2 picks up/season 3 is.

Well if you have time:

http://www.hulu.com/...trip#s-p1-so-i0

You should just watch one of the newer episodes. It may be kinda odd since...you don't know any of the characters. But it's awesome still.

Yeah it's crazy how good the show got from where it was. I think other shows rely a lot on cynicism and negativity for laughs, but Parks and Rec is refreshing because it's so positive and the characters are so likeable. (That's probably why I don't get the humor around everyone hating Jerry as much).

Kenneth, Community is really wonderful, though.

Also, shit is on Netflix instant, soo...

I wish Louis C.K. was still on the show, but Henry is a pretty good replacement.

I love Adam Scott.

I do miss Louis though...but he was kind of...odd in the role. I think.

So I started watching Community (off topicing my own topic). I DO enjoy it. I just...it's not any better than Parks and Recreation, personally, I think. It's really good buuuuuuut. I don't know, I just got past the episode with Jack Black and Owen Wilson which I enjoyed a lot. So maybe things will be up from there.

Parks and Rec is a lot more 'grounded,' I guess, than shows like Community or 30 Rock, which definitely lean heavily on the surreal/whimsical side of things. I think that makes Parks a little more consistent and relatable. Even when the show gets really sitcom-y it finds ways to kind of go against expectations.

And yeah, Louis' character probably couldn't have lasted more than a few episodes. I just like seeing him in things.

I don't know. Parks and Rec does get into kind of what the hell kind of territory. Like the fourth floor. Or most of what Tom does. oooor Lil' Sebastian
Spoiler

I am not saying it hits anywhere near where Community is in surrealness. But I think when Parks and Rec does go into a whimsy territory it's just done so well it seems normal? I don't know.

This is not the greatest signature in the world. No, this is just a tribute...

Couldn't remember the greatest signature in the world. Yeeaaah, NO! This is a tribuuute! Ohhhhh. To the greatest signature in the world! All right! It was the greatest signature in the world all right.

And the peculiar thing is this, my friends. The signature I made on that fateful night didn't actually look anything like this signature! This is just a tribute. You've gotta believe me, and I wish you were there. Just a matter of opinion. Ah, fuck! Good God, God lovin'. So surprised to find you can't stop it. All right! All right.

Hatchet Cop? You mean Axe Cop? It's been on Fox for a while...I'm confused.

Also I have surmised by Chris Funk's instagram that The Decemberists are going to be the "The Busking Folk Hymn Buskers". Or that's just random words he put together, but it does sound very Pawneeish.
