Does anyone, I'm sure you all do, play an instrument?

I kind of play guitar(my guitar sucks so much I can't do anything with it at the moment though) and I used to play Sax.

I used to play a bit of guitar, then I kinda got boredand went back to writing. used to play a bit of clarinet, a bit of recorder....a tiny bit of piano...want to play a bit of violin.......basically I'm just a musical drifter.

I played the recorder in third grade! (But then I lost it after a few years...)

Theeeen...I played violin, in fourth grade! (It stopped being fun when my fingers started to hurt.)

And, ever since then...TRUMPET! *cheer!* (Whee!)

Ooh...And...I play a bit of snare drum on the side.

I started taking piano lessons in 2nd grade and continued throughout high school. I played Rachmoninof's Prelude in...g minor, I think (that or c# minor; I don't remember which) at my graduation.

I started learning alto sax in band class in 5th grade, then switched to baritone sax in 7th grade because our really small band had five altos. People made fun of me because the sax was almost as big as me (all in good humor, though).

I took guitar lessons in 7th and 8th grade, but quit after that. I still have my guitar though. It's all shiny and black and shows every fingerprint. And it smells funny from the polish I used on it.

Lesse, like most people, I learned recorder in elementary school, and I tried to teach myself how to play an ocarnia, but it kinda smashed before I got any good at it. :cryb:
I did get pretty good at the ocarina in The Ocarina of Time though. I can play Mission Impossible, and I might still be able to play the Simpsons theme.

Oh, and I can play Kumbaya on a thumb drum. Those things are so awesome.

that's more or less what i keep telling Kamau =_=; Kamau still says Kamau could play the taiko drum and guitar.....though Kamau definatly can't if Kamau's fingers hurt JUST from playing the violin....It hurts more with a guitar, I used to cut my fingers a bit, even, when i played sometimes. (that and blisters can be no fun =( )

on a side note, guitar hero is fun.

I've never played Guitar Hero, want to a lot though...but it looks like nothing like playing a guitar...

that's because it IS nothing like playing a real guitar! it can be alot easier, really.

I'm sure it is...I'm pretty sure I could play Killer Queen in Guitar Hero...but on an actual Guitar... =\

When I went to this...okay I can't remember what it was. Some music thing at WSU for Jr. High musicians to learn more about their instruments or something.

Anyway, the most common instruments there were the clarinet and, for some reason, the euphonium. :question:

I also got to see a picture of a contra-bass saxophone. I've wanted to try one so bad since then. But one of my friends says his school has one and that it sounds like a whoopie cushion.

gah, my little sister is annoying >< she can barely play any song on the guitar and yet she brags constantly about playing it! it makes you want to smack her.....and what's worse is the guitar that we have, given to us by my sister's fiance, she's completely taken over >_> I couldn't even practice if I want to...the moment you go near the case she starts whining "don't touch my guitar! it's MY guitar!" (note: it's not actually her guitar.)
