OP? What the hell is that? Original post? Why would I do such a thing?

I'm really busy nowadays. I'm either in school, doing school work, or watching bad movies with Lenny and Chase and Josh.

I'll get Tony to post the only picture we have have of us three. I look so tired, but I'm smiling. ^^ In many of the pictures we have I don't think I've ever seen Tony smile so wide in any picture. Rose is already doing amazing things!

As far as the birthing went...

We checked into the hospital at 10:15am on the 25th. My contractions weren't strong enough yet so they put us in the 'latent labor' room. It's more or less where they monitor the contractions and the baby's heart rate. We were in that room until 1pm. Then they moved us into the 'birthing' room. I trust I don't have to explain what room that is.

We hadn't occupied the room for more than 2 hours before a huge scare ensued. The monitors they had on me for the contractions and baby's heart rate were suction cupped to my stomach. Rose moved down a slight bit and the monitor went crazy. It had lost her heart beat. Suddenly the one nurse in the room multiplied and now there were six nurses in the room. The first nurse shoved an oxygen mask on me (I wasn't scared until sh did this...), another nurse told me to flip over and get on all fours, and other nurses were telling me to relax and breathe. Mind you, I wouldn't have been so scared if I had known what was going on. I still would have been scared, but I could at least calm myself down had I had more information. None of the nurses told me, or Tony, anything. I began crying, the oxygen mask I had on was filling with snot from my running nose. The nurses more or less pushed Tony back so they could get me to calm down. I hadn't had the epidural yet either, so my contractions were getting really painful and now these people were telling me to move around and breathe and relax.

Everything was fine. They decided to put an internal monitor in to get Rose's heart rate. I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place... They finally got me the epidural and it was smooth sailing from there. I slept half the time and ate popsicles. I wasn't allowed to drink water, but I could eat ice chips.

At around 2am, the 26th, they had me start pushing. I was worried that the epidural would hinder me from pushing well, but I could feel the pressure of the contractions still so I was still able to time my pushes. Everything was going well until the last 30 minutes of labor. I began yelling, "I hate you all!" or "Get your fingers out of me!" At one point my mom had to grab my face and tell me to breathe calmly. Then she tried to tell me a story to which I yelled, "SHUT UP!!!" Surprisingly I didn't yell at Tony at all. Just my mom and the nurses/doctor. After everything was over I apologized to all the staff. I felt bad more yelling at them. They said it was okay.

I only got three stitches. The only tearing that happened was more inside that outside. They're almost healed too!

@ Jody: Starting from when we were admitted I was in labor a total of 17 hours and 15 minutes. If you just want to count the actual pushing only an hour and a half. Also remember that most of that time I was loving life due to the epidural. ^^

@ BottomGuy: The only really gross thing was the after birth. That thing was gross! Oh, and Rose apparently had pooped before she was out. It was all squeezed out during labor. Just remember, you asked.

I never really wanted a c-section. Call me a hippie, but I wanted to bring Rose into the world, not have her 'taken' out of me. I know that it can be safer for some women, but still. Also it actually takes most women longer to heal from a c-section. My vagina is far from damaged. If anything, I think I have stronger muscles down there now. I'm starting to get frustrated though, once all these stitches heal it's birth control and happy town for me!

I'm being pressured to get an IUD (YOUR MEDICAID DOLLARS AT WORK) by my loving boyfriend because he's sick of my pregnant whining. Bahaha. No though, it's because we can't afford the one on the way and we sure as hell shouldn't be going for another anytime in the incredibly near future.

Anyway SpazKat, I'm glad your birth wasn't that horrific. That's encouraging. It sucks about the scaring the crap out of you though. I fear that happening to me as well. I'm a horrible hypochondriac anyway, so I'm going to be like OH SHIT OH GOD MY BABY'S DYING THEY AREN'T TALKING TO ME OH GOD IT MUST BE AWFUL HOLY SHIT OH MY GOD" and thus make everything worse.

It always surprises me though when people say they freak the hell out and say mean things when they have babies. In my years, the only time I can think of that I've ever gotten angry from pain was when Rob and I headbutted each other on accident and I got a concussion. But then after that, as usual, I referred to my quiet, whiney, insecure childlike state of pain. When I hurt I just sit there quietly, or like, groan and whine and sigh. And then ask Rob to help me, which is usually just him hugging me or sitting with me. Haha. It's hilarious because I'm an angry horrible person but when I hurt I'm like "MY TUMMY HURTS, HALP ME. SOB."

So, I'm sure I'm going to be screaming in pain, and then inbetween pushing/contractions, I'm going to be like "Oh my god Rob bawwww it hurts ;_;"

As uncomfortable as Tony might have been, I'm really glad he was there the whole time. It made me feel safe. I know that's super girlie, but I love him bunches and get separation anxiety when we're apart. I'm such a brat. ><

Don't feel bad, I have "separation anxiety" with Rob/Lazlo too. I'd feel totally horrible and scared off my ass if he wasn't around when I had our baby. I'm a very nervous, worrying person - and he's smart and logical and he always comforts me. Also, I only have two friends around here now, and they're both constantly busy. I spend all my time with Rob and I get all butthurt when we're not around each other. But when you spend as much time together as we do, even having out with someone you really like is just like "Okay yeah this is fun, when do I get to go see Rob again?"

I'm a shit.

Anyway I'd love to ask you some questions if you're not going to feel awkward when I talk about vaginas and constipation, hahaha.

As much as I would like to indulge with you on this, no, no.

It doesn't make me immature because I would prefer not to spend my afternoon reading about Spaz giving birth. I'm sure there are many people who would prefer just to not do that if given the choice.

I don't understand why birth grosses guys out. If you think it's gross, don't have sex. Sex makes babies, babies that have to be born. Guys that are all like "omfg gross i dnt want to see u shit our kid gross" and/or "omfg gross i dnt want to here aboot u havin a baby gross", it's like, are you fucking kidding me. At least try to be mature. YOU CAME OUT OF YOUR MOM'S VAGINA. This isn't some kind of crazy unheard of event. Besides having babies rocks. It sucks at the time and it's kind of bloody but like, it's a baby. Baby's rock and are cute, and just because it's not some lovely scenic view when they're born, it's not disgusting or gross.

So are things like mold, vomit, and poop. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop eating, but doesn't mean I want to hear about it. (and sex is pretty disgusting when you get right down to it...so is most food if you know how it's made)
