So I installed feedly on my phone and I love it. It's rekindled my love for RSS feeds so I spent all of my toilet time swiping through blogs and forums and whatnot and now it is my main way of browsing MonkeyPro.

 

I have a problem though!

 

All of the posts have no featured image, so they all look grey and boring and depressing and they make me sad.

 

I tried starting threads and having the first thingy be an image in the hopes that RSS would be magick and use it as a featured image. But this has not worked.

 

SO!

 

What can I do to make it pretty seeings as I am browsing this forum all wrong?

I could probably easily just change the RSS feed. What would you want to show up?

The idea would be for it to grab the url for the first image it finds in the post and to insert that into the RSS feed. I have no idea how RSS works though, so I don't know how you'd insert an image thumbnail or whatever into it :(

Seems like an easy solution is to try to get it to use the avatar of either the original poster, or the last poster in the thread.

As a fellow feedly lover, I may try this.

Interestingly, I am getting some featured images. Not sure if MD changed anything yet.
