I... kinda have no idea what has happened here this week. I've used my phone to lurk while on the toilet, but I don't think I've made a single post. Sorry bros. Why, you ask? Skyrim. Friggin' addicting Skyrim. So... I don't know what meaningful topics we've had. Instead, I'll link to you my current favorite Skyrim mods. Now, as much as I love it, I'm not heavily in to modding Bethesda games. I mostly use tweaks that help me enjoy the game a bit more. But, here are three that filly me with happiness.

Tox Alchemy Unlock Effects

Alchemy is probably more useful in Skyrim than Oblivion and Morrowind combined. But I'm a big fat cheater who doesn't want to waste time or perk points to unlock all of the effects in the game. Having done it in the past, I feel as though I've paid my due. This mod makes it so that you can learn everything just by reading a note. Yes, it's a cheat. Yes, it's a totally perfect cheat.

Proudspire Manor Refurbished

Elder Scrolls fans are like... totes obsessed with player housing. Some of the housing mods for this game are completely ridiculous. This one I like because it's simple, useful, and doesn't feel like a cheat because it's the most expensive house in the game.

Enhanced Mighty Dragons

Man, man. What a disappointment. The dragon fights in Skyrim are pretty lame after you level up enough. Of all of the Dragon overhaul mods, I like this one because it doesn't require any other utilities (like the script extender), and can turn the dragons in to a friggin' nightmare if you let it. I personally play with the Unlevelled version, which means that dragons can range anywhere from stupid easy, to stupid impossible. Sometimes you just can't fight them, and you have to run for your life. Even if you don't use the more difficult variants of this mod (there are several options), it still adds a nice bit of variety to the dragon fights. Probably my favorite Skyrim mod so far.

And on to the stuff that actually relates to the forum...

Panda thought it would be a good idea to post a catchy song in the "What are you listening to?" topic. And though I had heard it once before (Thanks to my wife, who didn't believe me when I told her I had no idea what it was), I still could have gone my whole life without hearing it again. Not because it's a bad song. Because it's too damn catchy.

So why does this make Panda MOTW? Spite. Because of spite. Now EVERYBODY knows what you did, Panda.

Game of the Week

Dragon Destiny
I haven't been too active on the forums this week because... Well, because of flippin' Skyrim. A game that has dragons. Since I can't choose Skyrim as GOTW, I chose a game with a title that you could probably use to describe Skyrim's storyline.

Dragon Destiny is about a boy who wakes up knowing a magical spell (thought not a particularly useful one), and has a dream about a historical event of which he knew nothing about. Oddly, I didn't encounter a single dragon until a scorpion killed me in the desert, at which point there was a menacing dragon on the game over screen. I suspected that this was my ultimate destiny, per the title, an stopped playing.

Last Week's Poll Results

I have read the book, watched the new movies (and part of the old), and actually starred in a Hobbit stage play. Does that make me the most hobbit? And I have hairy feet.

P.S., why would so many of you rather watch the animated film? What's wrong with you?

Oh, and that's this week's poll.

What did we play other than Skyrim?

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1; Super Smash Bros for 3DS Demo; Bravely Default; Shining Force; Sims 4; Super Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair; Chrono Trigger

What did we watch other watching ourselves play Skyrim?

Community; Pokemon Origins; Gotham; Doctor Who

What did we listen to other than the Skyrim soundtrack by Jeremy Soule?

All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor; Say Yes by Wax Tailor (Feat. Asm); With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles; Keelhauled by Alestorm; Snow Day for Lhasa by Esmarine; Eye Earth Part 2 by Sk'p

What did we read other than Elder Scrolls lore books?

The Fires of Heaven by Robert Jordan; Golden Apples of the Sun by Ray Bradbury; Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster; Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

Pretty much it.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

i don't have a "whole" where my imagination used to be, my imagination made the hole. it's not even a hole rly, it's more like the collapsed remnants of my former self being exploded off around my me-ness that's still intact.

Wow. I actually posted that video out of spite thanks to Jackie. So, I guess that gets her an honorable mention.

Yay, MOTW!
