Hello everybody~

I'm sorry I haven't been very active lately (all year) and that has affected the fact that this topic hasn't been made yet, but here it is!

I've decided that instead of the traditional member of the year awards we'd do something different. My thought would be that we'd do it kind of like a secret santa. Everyone would sign up and get a person to make an award for. The award would be custom tailored to the person, and we could get creative with it if we wanted. Like a song or poem or game or comic or something about the person/award. Or you could just write about why the person deserves the award that you just made up. Since I assume we all know each other well enough, and there's really no "new" people here. I like it because it makes everything far more personable instead of the insignificant randomness.

This would mean no awards show, but if Puffin/Kamau or anyone wants to do an awards show, or just an end of the year show, we could still do it.

So yeah, who wants to do it? Who thinks it's stupid?

I've already told this to you, but I'll say here as well that I think it sounds fun.

I also hope we can do some kind of end-of-year show or at least a group chat or something. I always enjoy those. We could still use something like that to officially present the awards and see what everybody received. Someone would need to volunteer to host it though.

I never once saw this topic. :o I only ever saw the secret santa topic (or I saw this, but due to the first two words in each topic, assumed it was the secret santa thing). I kinda like this idea, so I guess I'll go along with it. I'm not at all interested in doing an awards show, anyhow.

I'm up for it, but I do want to express that I've enjoyed the few "shows" we've done, not really for the awards show but just because it's fun to get us all together in a chatroom for once. If only the IRC could ever be that populous... (Not that I've been helping with that recently) Anyway, yeah I'm totally down with this idea, but still wanting a big Stickam thing. Another forum I'm going to has been doing a big donation drive all month with a huge Stickam chat that's been going the whole time and it's a lot of fun to just get everyone together. I think I'm rambling...

Well I really don't need more people to make awards, because people who don't opt in aren't getting awards, you know?

How exactly will this work, anyhow? I'm assuming that we're all given one person at random to make an award for just like the secret santa thing, but how are the awards given? Do we PM whatever we're awarding them for to you or someone else and then it's all announced later in some fashion, or is there going to be more to it...?

It will either be PMing them to me and I'll start a big long post oooooooor make a topic for us to post our awards in.
