I recently finished rewatching Gundam 00, which has inspired my third attempt to finish watching Mobile Suit Gundam. I've got about 4-5 episodes left now, I think. It's still ridiculous more often than not, but I'm determined to see it through this time.

Finished MS Gundam and ended up liking it more by the finale.
To those of you who have seen the older Gundam shows, would you recommend continuing straight on to Zeta, or should I check out one of the OVAs like 0080 or 08th MS Team?

Buh, I just checked Amazon, and all the Gundam DVDs are way more expensive than I remember them being the last time I looked. 08th MS Team is $95 and up. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find them cheaper elsewhere.

I am currently watching Mushi-Shi and I love it so much!  If you haven't seen it I highly recommend you try it out.  I have been watching an episode or two every night with my brothers and if they weren't still in highschool we would seriously watch it all day :P

Invince and I went to see Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise, last night. I'm not a huge fan of Tom, but overall I liked the story.

I plan to see that movie, but I'm more interested in Freeman that Cruise.

Just finished Heroes season 2. I liked the season overall, but the ending...there was barely any kind of climax. It felt like it was building up to something bigger, and then pbbt.
That aside, Hiro is definitely the main character in my mind.

That entire statement is an accurate description of the series as a whole. I wanted it to be so good...

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I would have stopped after season one since that actually had a satisfying ending, and I had heard that the rest was worthless...but I wanted more Hiro.

The show has good moments up until the very end, but the bulk if it is just... I don't even know how to describe it. They go in some really, really strange directions and it never seems to add up to anything.

This isn't too much of a spoiler, but you might consider it one, but the last season focuses on some secret circus full of people with powers and how some random new character is rounding up those people there. It was a serious WTF storyline...

I agree, I enjoyed the show but it could have been so much better than it was. When the finally of the final season happened I actually had hope that the next season would be the best to date then it was cancelled in the off season.

I feel obliged to quote Sheldon here.
"They can't just cancel it! Firefly got a movie to wrap things up. Buffy continued as a comic series. With Heroes, they made each season progressively worse until people were glad when it ended."

After having just watched Heroes season 2?

EDIT: Eh, the ending was fine. I just wish the back half of the finale hadn't dragged on for so long.

Now to finally go watch How Lost Should Have Ended.

Now to finally go watch How Lost Should Have Ended.

Don't do that. Sometimes you just have to accept it for what it is. I still love Lost, and after the amazing fourth and fifth seasons, man was the whole last season just kinda... blandy mcblanderson.

How did you feel about the show overall?

I enjoyed it in general. Mostly the first two seasons. I was impressed by the end that several characters felt fleshed-out enough that I couldn't just say I completed loved or hated them. Except maybe that Darma guy from season 5 whose solution always seemed to be "Kill him! He might be a spy! I have no proof, but we should kill him anyway just in case!" I looked forward to his inevitable death. I also didn't care much for Kate, but she elicites more of an "ugh" than a "kill it with fire." Hurley is the best of course.
