<3 your desktop. For ages (seriously, a long ass time) I've been trying to figure out how to my background text repeat without aligning. Of course, I use the dreaded photoshop now so that's probably why. Could you perhaps tutorialize that?

I pretty much followed this tutorial completely (even the fonts and colors =P). However, I found that when making the background text, instead of writing out the text normally, it was better to put a space in between each letter (Instead of 'MRAWR', use 'M R A W R') and then kern them closer together. That way, once you hit a line break, the entire word won't get shifted to the next line, but only the last letter. This will make the text unaligned. And if you make that text block large enough, it won't matter that only the last letter or so ends up on the next line because it won't even show up on the canvas.

So, what made you switch to Photoshop?

That's actually the tutorial I tried and none of my stuff would align haha. I'll give what you said a try and see if I get that to work a little later on.

Photoshop just had a lot more material for me to learn off of. I didn't really have enough time to try messing around and experimenting with Gimp as much as I used to do. I really wish I did, I miss it sometimes. photoshop never cooperates correctly.

Yay I has some new wallpapers <3. But yeah, after spending way too much time trying to theme some meh-ful purple+brown wallpaper, I found this wallpaper which is much more winful ... and has caused me to realize how awesome + easy it is to theme stuff when it's just black and white

You should just never make anything a bitmap.

Do people really use bitmap? bleh.

I preffer not to use bitmap, but for some strange reason my icons get blue around them when i use a png version of the wallpaper...
