The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Because your sexist image is failful?why that?
In other news ... I was having too much fun with my desktop today. So many changes (not that anyone cares~ ). I found this super awesome wallpaper that matches my GTK theme perfectly, and then I found out about Visibility which shows minimized apps as icons instead of textful things.

I've been experimenting with it a bit more, and the other programs mentioned in the life hacker article (list is below). As well as the awesome Rainlander, another program by the developer of Rainmeter.
Instead of completely replacing the windows UI like I was originally planning on doing (I just have trouble letting go of the taskbar and system tray :( ), I've decided to instead make my own sidebar set-up, with more functionality than the default vista sidebar. So here's what I have:
Rainlander, to keep track of important dates and events, and to constantly display them on the desktop (a function that windows calendar and google calender, sadly lack).
Rainmeter, which is currently displaying system stats and weather. I'm going to be looking in to other cool things users have created.
Trillian, to be Trillian. (This has ALWAYS been on the side like this, but now it isn't so lonely).
CD Art Display, to... display CD Art. It also has nifty little playback control buttons when you hover over it, though since this is on my laptop I have multimedia keys built in. I also mapped one to show the "open folder" dialogue box from Winamp.
and
Desktop Coral to prevent maximized programs from covering up my happy new sidebar. For an example of how it looks, check out the first attached picture.
So far it's pretty neat, though I'm still uncertain of just how useful this set up will be (though Rainlander itself may make the whole thing worth it). The only problems that I have so far are that I use the show desktop function A LOT, and when I do that, everything poofs. I can work around this by telling each thing to be "always on top" (or some equivalent), but if I do that then they appear over full screen programs, and that's a bad. Thankfully everything shows up again when I restore even one of the programs. It could turn out to be no more than a minor annoyance.
on another note, I'm also using a special vista theme that shrinks the taskbar size considerably.
P.S. not back yet just showing of desktop
