I’ve been thinking and I’ve decided I won’t move the Rhythm Synthesis forum to EchoFalls. Also if you have problem with it and you want to disaffiliate with the comic, withdraw characters, or whatnot feel free to do so. I don’t mind. Thank you all. =P

Vote Incentive?

When I was drawing another comic, I used to post bi-weekly scenarios or sketches to the vote incentives of WCN and Buzzcomix. Since this Saturday is coming close to the next update, I thought I'd post one on WCN, (I dunno about Buzzcomix, it's kinda pissing me off, badly. >_< ) Mostly likely everyone has read the info topic, there are no new characters to hide.

so... to put this post into simple terms:

Request random crap(scenarios or sketches that can be irrelevant to plot) here! =D

This is more of an intro chapter almost like a prologue, but not one because prologues consist of boring stuff and flashbacks.

Rhythm Synthesis

Overview:
An urban tale centered around 11 teens. Each one possesses a card that belongs to the space pirate overlord.

The Story
The Galactic Federation captured the pirate overlord Asher and used a special machine to break his aura into 52 cards. Ten years later, he escaped. However a slight mishap occurs when the cards are knocked off the ship unto a remote planet, Earth.

The Cards
At first look the card looks like an oversized deck card however the card resonates with personalities creating natural elements. However the cards are not for everyone, for other people it can cause temporary to permanent insanity also bodily mutation.
When holding a card it grants the person to use one element. However, forging a complementary pact with other card users can grant that person other elements when that user is near. However full usage of both cards can perform a rhythm!Attack when both parties brain waves are synthesized.

Characters

1. Roxy
Name: Roxanna Knight
Age: 15
Card: Seven of Spades
Element: Wind
Personality: Hot-headed, physically unpredictable, stubborn, care-free
Roxy’s story starts when Mel PI flies into her face. (no literally, it did.) She intends to throw it away, however she’s confronted by a Hershey. She asks for the card and tells the reason behind wanting it. However, Roxy doesn’t trust the story. When negotiations failed, Hershey launches an attack.


2. Sephia
Name: Ashaki Juno Sephia
Age: 16
Card: Joker
Element: Light
Personality: Quiet, calm, concerned, mentally unpredictable
Sephia’s story starts when she finds a card in her book. She’s not interested in cards or card collections but she uses it for a bookmark considering it’s in her book. Later on she discovers that her friend, Samantha is possessed by the card.


3. Gavin
Name: Gavin Jenero
Age: 17
Card: Two of Diamonds
Element: Lightining
Personality: psychotic in demeanor, looks kind of creepy, but really a good guy. People get misconceptions of him by how he looks, and he likes that.


4. Lily
Name: Lily Renault
Age: 16
Card: Queen of Clubs
Element: Water
Personality: funny, understanding, slow to act but a deep thinker. She likes to examine things, also sensitive


5. Jackson
Name: Jackson Meyers
Age: 12
Card: Ace of Diamonds
Element: Idea
Personality: Quizzical and analytical, almost to the point of insanity, but friendly nonetheless.
Jackson, for some reason, randomly found his card lying under his kitchen table. He didn't know what it did then, but since that day, he's come under all manner of attack from those who want the cards.


6. Kiki
Name: Kiki Kalvera
Age: 14
Card: 5 of Hearts
Element: Time
Personality: Paranoid about the cards and not very quick to trust.
Kiki found her card lying in the street. When she picked it up, the pirate henchman who had dropped it had no qualms about killing her to get it. Kiki barely survived and now keeps her card hidden on her person, freezing time around her whenever someone comes after her looking for the 5 of Hearts.


7. Yami
NAME: Yami CJMErl
AGE: 18 1/2
CARD: Ace of Spades
ELEMENT: Darkness
PERSONALITY: Morally ambiguous, lecherous, dim-witted, fond of violence--but when the chips are down, he fights for the good guys
STORY: Yami was in a nondescript alleyway near the ruins of the Echo Hotel, rooting around for any spare parts or miscellaneous objects that might have survived the devastation that took place there several months ago. While flipping through a half-burnt issue of Jugs & Ammo, a small playing card fell out--the Ace of Spades. Picking it up to see if it was part of his "Hentai Playing Cards" set, the card immediately began to react with Yami's DarkPower Orb, opening up a dimensional vortex and sucking him in, dispensing him in a distant dimension--the same dimension of the card's origin. Now Yami must defend himself against those who would use the power of the cards for evil while trying to gather them all himself, AND find a way to return back to Sanctuary Falls...


8. Ash
Name: Arron Elijah Armstrong
Age: 17 1/2
Card: King of Hearts
Element: Fire
Personality: Outgoing, Daring, Friendly, Brave
Hit: Music (Techno and J-Pop), Hard math, Army of Darkness, Challenges
Miss: Easy questions, Completely Random Outbursts, Pickles
Bio: Ditching class, blowing off schoolwork, a bit of a class clown, this delinquent would seem like just your average high school punk. But Arron is a young genius with numbers and enjoys doing college level trigonometry, especially when it's either a challenge, or when money's involved. Because money seems to motivate him, he and his friends run a blackjack table at parties with jocks and preps. Not one to be rough around the edges, he's surprisingly friendly and easy to get along with.

9. Name: Cid Valentine
Age: 15
Card: 7 of Clubs
Element: Earth
Personality: Never thinks about others, he just cares about himself. A loner if you will
Background: Cid is a teen who has a normal life. The only issue is the fact that he dislikes people. He feels like all people do is get in the way, and that no one can be trusted. Many have tried to be friends with Cid, but all he does is push them aside. One day he was walking threw a small ally on the way home from school when he sees something weird. He sees a big playing card laying on the ground. He doesn't think of it at first, but then he sees that it's the 7 of clubs, his favorite card in a whole 52 deck. He feels like this card is from some kind of new deck, and he wants to show it to a local card shop owner. However when he picks up the card, he feels a sharp pain shoot through his body. Not knowing anything else about this mysterious card, he runs towards the card shop hopping to get some answers.

10. Sofia
Full Name: Sofia Rey
Age: 15
Card: Ace of Hearts
Element: Transformation
Personality: Mistrusting with strangers, sweet and caring with friends. Can be very dangerous if angered, to the point of aggresivity. Is usually very mature for her age and likes to spread words of wisdom to eager ears.
The backstory of how the character got the card: On a treasure hunt ordered by her Master, Sofia found the Ace of Hearts in between the jewels and suddenly her dragon features and powers vanished in thin air...In an attack of panic seeing her powers gone, Sofia runs away into the woods, still holding her card...

Mei pi (NPC)
Name: Melon PI (3.14)
Personality: Takes job too seriously.
Melon PI is a galactic police officer who was accursed into a pix (alien animal) when the space pirate escaped. Though cursed, she followed the pirate. At the first opportunity, she caused the cards to fall to Earth.

Bio: Malice is one of Asher's trusted front line pirates and loves to cause other's pain before he takes 'em out. But he's known to hold a grudge for a rather lengthy amount of time. Malice is almost never seen without Misery. Also, he was the one who fought against Ash.

Bio: Misery loves company, and she particularly hangs around Malice. Originally orphan, she hung around Malice for some unknown reason and proved her worth to him and the rest of Asher's pirates and gained a permanent spot on the crew. Now she's gained his likes and dislikes, including causing other's pain, though has a curiosity unique to her. But a great weakness of hers is that she can't stand to be without Malice. The two were separated when they arrived at Earth. Now, she's looking for him before she completes her mission.

ELEMENT: Eros (seduction, etc. -- like a succubus or evil Aphrodite or something similiar)
PERSONALITY: Evil dominatrix in just about every sense of the word--manipulative, seductive, selfish--not afraid to use her femininity to get what she wants, then leaves her current man-toy(s) in the dust, has a bizarre fascination with Yami CJMErl; none of the other high-ranking space pirates really trusts her, but she doesn't care
STORY: When Yami was sniffing around the ruins of the Echo Hotel, he was not aware that he was being watched. Yami Sparks, who had left the Hotel with her older sister, Danni Sparks, some time before the building's decimation, had stolen off to have one last "visit" with her favorite boy-toy, Yami CJMErl. When Yami was unexpectedly sucked through the portal into the world of Rhythm Synthesis, YS quickly followed suit, slipping in just before the space-time rip was sealed. Exiting the portal in a different location than Yami, she has a chance happening with Asherex, Lord-Captain of the Space Pirates, in a nondescript alleyway, who offers her the power of the Queen of Hearts in exchange for her services. Not one to turn down the chance for a power boost, she gladly accepts, and now serves as a "special ops agent" for Asherex. But what is her true perogative...?
