Is there any need for the images beside member titles and some groups? They certainly have no practical use, and they don't even look good, because they distort the table's layout, making longer member titles look very silly.

EDIT: Apparently they are also in different positions depending on the skin you're using, and create unnecessary and annoying gaps, etc. This is also a problem!

Can you get a screenshot? I just looked at a topic with each skin, and didn't see what you were talking about.

But I'll look in to it tomorrow (since I have to work all night tonight). Unless somebody beats me to it.

So far as I can tell, the only thing that distorts the table size is large avatars. It seems as though member titles and group images are smart enough to separate when necessary, in spite of their love for each other.

Also, if that's all that is going on, then I guess we should all be thankful that this version of IPB is smart enough to only distort one table when a larger-than-average avatar or image is used. I remember older versions where things could get... messy.

But this may not be the case, so I guess I'll just go back to asking for a screen shot of whatever the problem your having is.

I could edit it, but, I unno. I like Webber's and Darkness way of doing it, and it'd look weird for people like Kamau, Me, Hyperlisk who have custom group icons and probably won'y get rid of them.

I could make them look better formated, I suppose...but I honestly don't see what's wrong with them.

And yes people use the word Specialty, it is in the dictionary.

I don't see a problem...and I dunno. I'm using the Plasma skin, and I see the 'void' as you call it - not that 'terrible formatting'.

Also Kamau it's nice to know what you think, but that does not give it any essence of truth.

Basically what I'm saying is in web design, large and unnecessary spaces are bad, as is inconsistency in formatting.

Also if you got rid of the picture, they'd probably be another empty space to replace it anyways.

Furthermore, specialty and speciality? Looked in to why you would make a fuss over it, out of curiosity. Or did I miss the point you were trying to make?

In any case, I'm fairly certain this isn't a topic for discussion the supposedly "inferior" american version of english. Though admittedly the people who pressed that topic didn't really add much to the topic as a whole. Weirdos.

Well, it's difficult to explain now, but the images next to member titles would cause the stretch because they were too tall, and because these images were under the avatars on the other skins, the caused a large and unnecessary gap.

Also great VP, that looks pretty neat and tidy now! =D

(Also Ken "specialty" is certainly not in the OED, and is an Americanism. You may be thinking of "speciality".)
